Nail Polish Wishlist

nail polish wishlist
Hello my beauties. I can't believe that I have never done a nail polish wishlist post or have I? Haha I don't remember but anyways, today I will show couple nail polishes that are on my wishlist; these are only 9 of the dozens nail polishes that I want to own.
When it comes to nail polishes I will only buy from the expensive brands the unique colors that can't be easily found in cheaper brands. Honestly I don't see why I would pay like $10 or more for a black, white or any of the usual colors while I can get it for $2 or $3, right?
So here is my wishlist:
Models Own Beetlejuice Purple Blue: it's a beautiful purple and blue duo-chrome nail polish and I love duo-chrome nail polishes!
OPI Sprung: pretty shimmery copper color from the Mariah Carey collection.
OPI Deutsch You Want Me Baby? : beautiful rusty orange color
OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest: I love purple nail polish and this one is an amazing dark purple color.
Butter London The Black Knight: Black glitter polish which contains pink, blue and silver glitter.
Models Own Pink Fizz: beautiful pastel pink glitter nail polish.
Nails Inc Marylebone: light pink glitter nail polish.
Models Own Tropical Sun: Peachy-gold nail polish from Beetlejuic. I love this shade and it's perfect for spring and summer!
Butter London Henley Regatta: Ocean green-blue shimmer nail polish. Another amazing shade for spring and summer!

If you live in UK you can buy any or all these polishes from Littlewoods nailcare products , if not then you should look on another site because as you may now Royal Mail doesn't allow for the nail polishes to be shipped outside UK which is really annoying because now it's really hard to get nail polishes from brands such as London Butter or Models Own...By the way, Littlewoods it's a cool web store which I recently found and they sell beauty items, clothing, DVDs and more. And from what I've seen the offer UK and European shipping.

Do you own any these nail polishes? Let me know in the comments below!

MUA Nail Polish in Shade 6 Review

Hi everyone, weekend is here who is excited? Any exciting plans? Today I will swatch a nail polish, I haven't done nail polish swatches for long time. The nail polish I will show you is the MUA nail varnish in Shade 6. So when I got the nail polish I wasn't sure how it will swatch but the first thing I noticed is that's tiny :(, it's only 6.2 ml. I think I will show you the swatches first and then will tell you my opinion.
MUA Nail Polish in Shade 6

MUA Nail Polish in Shade 6

MUA Nail Polish in Shade 6
For the swatches I applied 2 coats and I didn't used any top coat.As you can see this varnish is very opaque and it applies smoothly. As a matter of fact you could even get away with one coat if you're not bothered seeing a little bit of the tip. As for color is a very pretty red,not too dark not too vibrant and it's perfect for fall if you ask me :).
I wore this with one coat for 3 days without top coat and it performed very well. You could see the nail polish had worn off at the very tip which happens because, well, you use your hands a lot to grab something etc. Also as you can see from the first picture the text on the front worn off very easily, basically by the time I finished taking pictures of swatches the text was almost gone but this is kinda typical with drugstore products. If you want to prevent this just paint the area with clear nail polish :)
Generally I would say this a great nail polish for £1 but like I said at the beginning I wish the bottle was at least 10 ml because 6.2ml is too tiny :/

Do you link the color? Do you own any MUA nail varnishes? Let me know in the comments below!

MUA Glitter Nail Quake in Gold and Green Swatches

Hello my lovely readers. It's Friday today and I hope everyone will have a great weekend. Today I have some swatches of MUA Glitter Nail Quake in Gold and Green for you. As you can tell by the name those aren't the standard shatter nail varnishes but they are glitter which is pretty cool if you ask me. So lets look at the pictures:
MUA Glitter Nail Quake
MUA Glitter Nail Quake

MUA Glitter Nail Quake green and gold
When comes to shatter nail varnishes many people will have different preferences. Some like for the varnish to complete shatter other like when the background color is slightly picking through like those. For me it's all about what I want when I apply it and it also depends on the color. From those two I like more the gold one.
I only used one coat of the varnish. I have tried them couple times and they pretty much shatter the way you see on the picture.
I love the gold over black and the green one would look better over green shades but for swatches purposes I used white under it.
My nail quake in Green is thicker than Gold so it's slightly harder to apply it but that might be only mine and yours could be fine.

You can buy them for £2.99 from MUA Site

OPI Bright Lights Big Color Swatches

How was your week? Mine was great, not only I'm done with my exams and I will finally enjoy summer but also yesterday was my birthday.I can't believe that I'm already 20 years old :D. The only thing I don't like is that it starts getting hotter and hotter everyday here :( with 0 wind but it's friday so I'm still happy .
Now into the actual post. I found this polish the last time I was at sephora and it's pefect for summer time. It's the OPI Bright Lights-Big Colr from their Brights collection.

*direct sunlight*
 *in shade*
 *close up*

As you can see it's a peachy coral with beautiful golden shimmer nail polish.
It has smooth texture and it's pretty opaque.
Do you like it? Which nail polish is your favorite for summer?

OPI Step Right Up Photos,Swatches

The OPI Step Right Up is from Femme De Cirque Collection 2011.This polish is the most opaque out of the polishes in that collection.
OPI Step Right Up Photos,Swatches

OPI Step Right Up Swatches

OPI Step Right Up Photos,Swatches
For these swatches I used 3 coats of the polish with no base or top coat.

As you can see this is a really beautiful milky color with hit of pink in it.
The formula is smooth but it can be tricky to get an even finish with only 2 coats.
This the color I wanted for my french manicure ( in the next days I will have a video tutorial for professional looking french manicure).
What do you think of this polish? Do you own it?

Orly Space Cadet dupe

Back in 2010 when MAC launched it's collection "Venomous Villains" they released and the polish Mean&Green which is a beautiful duochrome nail lacquer. The dupe for this  is the Orly Space Cadet and the dupe for the dupe is Hard Candy Beetle.Well couple months ago I was at a local beauty store (Hondos Center) and I was looking through the nail polishes and my eye cought this polish,Seventeen #539.When I bought it I actually didn't realise that it was if not exact dupe , a very close one to Orly Space Cadet .
Seventeen is a Greek brand but I think they export their products to few countries like Ukraine and Romania so unfortunately not all will be able to check out this polish.
Enough with the talking, let's see the pictures :)

(For the swatches I applied 2 coats of the polish)

So if you have Seventeen brand near you I would say look for this polish , I love it and it's one of my favs

NOTW feat.OPI polishes

Unfortunatelly I had to cut my long nails :'( because I broke 3 of them.So this week I'm with short nails and I didn't want something too complicated or just plain color on my nails so I made this:

This is a very simple yet glamorous manicure that flatters short nails...

Polishes Used:
OPI Rising Star as background color

 How to achieve it:
  • After your base coat apply two coats of a coppery color,in my case OPI Rising star
  • After your backgound have dried aply a sheer coat of multi-color glitter polish.I used a light coat of OPI Bring on the Bling
  • Once glitter dried, apply your black shatter polish
  • Apply your top coat and your DONE!
  • Enjoy :D

How To: Burberry Nails

HOW TO MAKE BURBERRY INSPIRED NAIL DESIGN

This might seem to be tricky to do but honestly this is quite easy to do.
What you need:
  • Beige,nude nail polish
  • Black striper polish
  • White striper polish
  • Vivid, slighty dark red striper polish
  • Top coat and base coat
The steps:
  • After your base coat is dry(always use a base coat!!!),apply 2 coats of your background color
  • Make 2 horizontal and 2 vertical lines with the white polish like you see on the picture
  • With the black striper make 3 lines: 1 between the 2 white lines and one on each side of them, making in total 3 horizontal and 3 vertical black lines.
  • Now with the red stiper make one vertical and one horizontal line on the other side of you nail just like you see on the picture
  • Apply you top coat and your done. Now you have very fashionable and cute nails :D...Enjoy!

OPI Bring on the Bling Photos, Swatches

Ok I must say that I adore this glitter polish. It came out with a collection 2010
 *Direct sunlight*
OPI Bring on the Bling Swatches

OPI Bring on the Bling Swatches
*Closeup*
OPI Bring on the Bling Swatches close up

As you see this is beautiful nail polish that can be used on top of other polishes but also looks absolutely stunning on it's own.You can make it even more opaque if you apply 2 coats,I only applied 2 and I didn't use top coat.
Unfortunately I can't say if it's long lasting or not because I didn't leave it on my nail for more that 1 day as I am a big fan of nail art and change it quite regularely. For that 1 day it held pretty good even without top coat!
So what do you think of it?Do you have it? Do you like it?...I love it!!

OPI Rising Star Photos, Swatches

I bought the Girls Love Gold set from Sephora which included one cosmetic bag and two OPI nail polishes
Here are the swatches for Rising Star
*Indoors (no flash)*

This is a really pretty orangey gold, copper color. It has a mettalicky finish and it's quite sparkly as you can see(I didn't use top coat)...The polish itself is pretty opaque and you can get nice coverage even with one coat with right application
And this is the cosmetic bag you get with the two OPI polishes. It's a quite small but fits the necessary.
It  has a very glossy finish and it's very sparkly which I love :P

Mini Sephora haul

Yesterday I went for a walk with my mom to get some fresh air.We went to Sephora and couple other stores....So as I walked through the door of Sephora I looked on the right side and what I saw?OPI nail polishes on sale from 13.90 euros down to 8.90 euros...
Just to let my Greek readers know Sephora and Hondos Center have 25% off on beauty products so go and check them out,you can find some pretty good deals. What I noticed is that Sephora does slighty better offers than Hondos Center does...
Unfortunately the shades that were on sale are from old collections, the newest ones were at 13.90...I bought the Girls Love Gold gift bag, which had a small make up bag and 2 OPI nail polishes in Rising Star and Bring on the Bling. Also I bought the Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara and got the sample of Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation

Normally I would pay 30 euros for the OPI set and 33.10 euros for the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara but instead I paid for both of them 33.10 euros, great deal right?
I want to try that Lancome's 24H foundation although I highly doubt I would buy that one over the MUFE(Make up for ever) HD since Lancome's cost 43euros while MUFE's 33,we'll see.
In my later posts I will post the review for the Hypnose and swatches of OPI nail polishes :),so keep checking back or even better follow the blog so you will be notified.

NOTE to Greek Girls:Go and Check out your local Sephora cuz I think they might have that offer for the OPI nail polishes as well as they try to sell all the shades from previous collections :)

La Femme Nail Polishes Review and Swatches

I wasn't aware of this brand since I live in Greece and here we don't have La Femme. But once that i was searching throughout Amazon for nail supplies I came across a seller who was selling some sets of La Femme polishes and decided to buy one.I got them and I was really happy with the colors as some of them I didnt have.
The set that I bought came with 12 polishes,9 normal and 3 crackle. The cost was around £11

I'm not sure but they are probably form a collection,Prime collocetion, cuz that what it says on the bottle. There aren't any names on the bottle but I searched and found a site that sales those polishes and they have names so I'll try to match the polishes as best as I can :)
Here are some swatches

                                             Silverado...........................................Iris

                                        White..................................................Ebony,Black

                                            Mojo..................................................Emerald?

                                         Damsen?.......................................................Passion

                                                                      Electric Blue

* All swatches were made with 2 coats of polish*

The 3 crackle polishes are in black, hot pink and silver
The a,b,c,d are some effect options you can get depending on how thick and the
way you apply the polsih

I was quite impress with how much pigmented the polishes are for less than £1 for each.As a matter of fact the white one was the best white polish that I have tried so far,it applies evenly so easily.Generally all of them are very good and with a good top coat they won't chip for at least a week.
Conclusion? They defenatly worth of checking and I'd say give them a try cuz you might love them too :)
Where to buy: Amazon and here

Flakie Polishes: Nubar 2010 review

Lately the quite new fashion trend for nails is the flakie polish. There lots of companies that make those kind of polish with small differences between them.Such companies are Sally Hansen,Finger Paints,Essie,Inglot and of course Nubar.
To be honest I haven't tried other companies' flakies but I know for fact that I'm in love with the Nubar 2010.Basically it's a polish like normal top coat which contains flakes, reflective glitter, that gives you a pretty effect depending on what polish color you have underneath and the way that light shines on the nails.
That kind of polishes look better with black or generally dark background colors but you can get nice effect and with light colors like white, light pink etc.Personally I prefer to wear it with dark colors like royal blue or black.

What company says about it:
"nubar celebrates ten years of creating safe and innovative nail lacquers free of DBP (phthalate), formaldehyde, and toluene with nubar 2010.  This fantastic shade consists of flakes of reflective glitter in a  polychromatic base, and displays its many shades when worn alone as a sheer polish or layered over other nubar nail lacquers for a dramatic effect.  The limit to nubar 2010's possibilities is your imagination!"

Price on the official site: $8.00

I bought Nubar 2010 for ebay.com for $5.25+shipping around $3 i think  from this seller  who apparently doesn't ship to Greece now and I don't know why :/.

Here are some photos

Conclusion: I would defiantly recommend this polish if you would like to make your nails looks fancy with an easy way.I'm so glad I picked Nubar 2010 up and I'm in love with it
