MUA Matte Foundation Review

MUA Matte Foundation
Hello my lovely readers. Today I will review the MUA Matte foundation. I wanted for while to try it because I'm a sucker for matte products :P. Well after trying it I'm wondering who named this foundation matte? It's nowhere near to matte finish, instead is quite dewy and kinda oily looking on my combination skin.
To be honest when I first tried it I was disappointed and didn't want to use it again but I thought try it few more times to see if I would change my mind and I quite did change my mind.
The packaging is a nice black squeeze tube which is good for foundation because you can control the amount of foundation that comes out.

I got it in shade 2, it is pretty good match to my skin and it has medium coverage. The consistency isn't rainy or too thick, I would say it's kinda on the thicker side but it blends easily. Because of that you don't need a lot of products which is a plus.

You can see that this is not a matte foundation (it looks a bit more oily in real). To take this picture I didn't use any kinda of primer or powder and I applied it with my F80 brush from Sigma.I can't wear this foundation without  mattifying powder but with it it looks quite nice. Also if you would use a mattifying primer before the foundation you maybe won't look too dewy.
As you can read it says that it is long lasting. Well it definitely doesn't last as long as Revlon Colorstay but if you set it with powder it will last about 5 but that depends on your skin type and the environment you are in,if it's hot or not. So it might last a bit more or less than 5 hours.
There are 2 negatives about this foundation. The first is that it does contain parabens like most the MUA products. And the second is that it only comes in 3 shades so finding the perfect match will be hard.
Overall I must say that I changed my first opinion about it,I don't hate it anymore but nor do I love it. It's a good foundation for it's price £2, believe me I have tried way worst foundations for that price. Though I would recommend it to people with normal or dry skin, I'm not sure people with combination or oily skin would like it. I might try to use it during Autumn and Winter when it's not hot outside. Lastly I think MUA should rename it as this foundation isn't matte at all :/

You can buy it for £2 from MUA store
What do you think of this? Have you tried it?

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h Review

Hello my lovely readers... Quite while ago I've been at Sephora and as I was looking through the Lancome counter I saw the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24h foundation so I decided to ask for a sample and I got it.
I'm always interesting in trying out new long lasting foundations and when I saw this one, as you can understand, I wanted to try it. I really like that they have samples as there is no way I would pay 43 euros for a foundation that I don't know if it's gonna work with my skin or not specially since I can't return it. I got a 5 ml sample that I can tell you will last you a while. I already used it around 15 times or more and I still have some product left. I got this foundation in 03 Beige Diaphane. Here's a picture of the sample.

I had first tried when I wasn't tan at all so when I applied it you could see that this wasn't my color. It also look a bit too yellow but after about an hour the foundation looked better and became closer to my skin.
Now that is summer and I'm a bit tan this is 98% perfect match. Lancome also have good color range. On this picture you 18 shades but on the Lancome site there are more shades.
                                Before                                                                        After
At the moment I took those pictures I didn't have any kind of big problem with breakouts ,only some redness around nose and a bit on the cheeks but I have tried this foundation while I had few big pimples. So I would say that this foundation is medium coverage, buildable, though you won't get full coverage. It claims that it will last 24h. Honestly I don't know a person that would wear makeup for 24h even if it would last that long because your skin must breathe and with makeup on it doesn't. So on me, now that is summer, it doesn't last for very long ( I have combination skin). It will last for around 4-5 hours and then it will start to fade and I set my foundation with ELF HD Powder.
On the site it also says that the foundation is transfer-free. Well I would say exactly that it is transfer-free but it stays on pretty well. Also I noticed , from the sample I have, that it has slightly strong alcohol smell though after you apply it on your face you can't smell alcohol. Here are the ingredients:
AQUA / WATER,CYCLOHEXASILOXANE,ALCOHOL DENAT,ISODODECANE,BUTYLENE GLYCOL,ACRYLATES/POLYTRIMETHYLSILOXYMETHACRYLATE COPOLYMER,NYLON-12,ETHYLHEXYL METHOXYCINNAMATE,PEG-10 ,DIMETHICONE, ISOHEXADECANE, SILICA,PERLITE,ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE,MAGNESIUM SULFATE, DISODIUM STEAROYL GLUTAMATE, CETYL PEG/PPG-10/1 DIMETHICONE,PARFUM / FRAGRANCE,LINALOOL,GERANIOL,EUGENOL,ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE,HYDROXYISOHEXYL 3-CYCLOHEXENE CARBOXALDEHYDE, CITRONELLOL, BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL,HEXYL CINNAMAL,BENZYL ALCOHOL,BENZYL SALICYLATE, [+/- MAY CONTAIN,CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499 / IRON OXIDES,CI 77891 / TITANIUM DIOXIDE

This foundation has spf 15 but it photographs great though I haven't tried it in flash photography. The finish is kinda dewy but it gives rather natural glow to your face. A big plus to this foundation is that it didn't break me out. Overall I like this foundation and I think it will last much longer during autumn/winter. Because I'm a girl who likes the full coverage foundations and because it costs 43 euros ( 43euros=£33.74=$52,20) I don't think I will buy the full version but if Sephora will ever do 40% or 50% off I might buy it.
I think this foundation will be great for those of you that don't like full coverage and have normal/dry skin, I don't think this will work well with oily skins.

Have you tried this foundation? Which foundation is your favorite?
