MUA Matte Foundation Review

MUA Matte Foundation
Hello my lovely readers. Today I will review the MUA Matte foundation. I wanted for while to try it because I'm a sucker for matte products :P. Well after trying it I'm wondering who named this foundation matte? It's nowhere near to matte finish, instead is quite dewy and kinda oily looking on my combination skin.
To be honest when I first tried it I was disappointed and didn't want to use it again but I thought try it few more times to see if I would change my mind and I quite did change my mind.
The packaging is a nice black squeeze tube which is good for foundation because you can control the amount of foundation that comes out.

I got it in shade 2, it is pretty good match to my skin and it has medium coverage. The consistency isn't rainy or too thick, I would say it's kinda on the thicker side but it blends easily. Because of that you don't need a lot of products which is a plus.

You can see that this is not a matte foundation (it looks a bit more oily in real). To take this picture I didn't use any kinda of primer or powder and I applied it with my F80 brush from Sigma.I can't wear this foundation without  mattifying powder but with it it looks quite nice. Also if you would use a mattifying primer before the foundation you maybe won't look too dewy.
As you can read it says that it is long lasting. Well it definitely doesn't last as long as Revlon Colorstay but if you set it with powder it will last about 5 but that depends on your skin type and the environment you are in,if it's hot or not. So it might last a bit more or less than 5 hours.
There are 2 negatives about this foundation. The first is that it does contain parabens like most the MUA products. And the second is that it only comes in 3 shades so finding the perfect match will be hard.
Overall I must say that I changed my first opinion about it,I don't hate it anymore but nor do I love it. It's a good foundation for it's price £2, believe me I have tried way worst foundations for that price. Though I would recommend it to people with normal or dry skin, I'm not sure people with combination or oily skin would like it. I might try to use it during Autumn and Winter when it's not hot outside. Lastly I think MUA should rename it as this foundation isn't matte at all :/

You can buy it for £2 from MUA store
What do you think of this? Have you tried it?

OPI Nail Envy Matte Review

OPI Nail Envy Matte Review

Few months ago I decided to do acrylic on few of my own nails to make them stronger as they were about to brake and I didn't want to cut them down ,stupid idea. As you can imagine it was very hard to get my nails back to their healthy state. I have heard in the past good things about OPI nails envy so I decided to give it a try. The reason why I opted out for the matte version is that I've read few reviews that stated that the original nails envy stained their nails. So now let's move on to the review...

When I first tried it I wasn't really excited with the result, though back then I didn't used it for more than a week and a half  so my opinion wasn't 100% accurate. When I stopped using OPI nail envy I was using a strengthener from a Greek brand Erre Due hard attack and I was quite pleased with it. Few weeks ago that I ran out of the Erre Due I went back to the OPI one. So now I've been using OPI Nail Envy for good 3 weeks and I must admit I did changed my first opinion about it. It does strengthen your nails on a good level although it doesn't help that much wth splitting, at least for me it doesn't .
So overall as nail strengthener I would give it a 4/5

I must say that I really love it as base. It smooths the nail which helps with a better nail polish application and it also does protect your nails and help to prevent staining
Overall as base coat I give 4.5/5

Now as a mattefying top coat. I wouldn't say that it gives a completely matte finish to the polish but it gives rather natural matte finish . By natural matte I mean that it isn't glossy looking but has a light sheen.
Overall as mattefying top coat 3.5/5

Overall rating: 4/5
Would I buy it again?:  I would if I could find it at a good prices as here it retails at around 20+ euros
Have you tried it? What's your opinion? Do you have any good nail strengtheners to suggest?
