Sigma Eyeshadows in Escape and Resist Review

Sigma Beauty individual eyeshadows in Escape and Resist, $11 each
Hello ladies. Today I will review two Sigma Beauty single eyeshadows in Escape and Resist. Those are actually my first single eyeshadows from Sigma and I was quite excited to try them. I love both shades and I find Resist perfect for Autumn/Winter and Escape is great highlighting shade.

I'll start with packing. While some might say that black with clear lid is cheap looking, I personally find it quite good and pretty. I love that the Sigma logo is holographic and I also appreciate the clear lid because you can easily see the eyeshadow color without the need of opening it. As far as the amount of product, you get 2.5g of eyeshadow which is pretty standard for single eyeshadows.

Sigma Resist eyeshadow is mixture between burgundy and plum colors with fine orange/yellow sparkles in it. The pigmentation is medium but definitely buildable and an eyeshadow base will help you to get the maximum payoff. I always wear my eyeshadows with a primer so Resist, with primer, lasts very well but without it has an average longevity. You, also, might experience some minor fallout but the texture is pretty smooth.

Sigma Escape eyeshadow is yellowish beige or as Sigma says, almond color with beautiful satin finish. I specially enjoy using it as my inner corners highlighter for everyday because it lights up that area without being shimmery. The pigmentation is medium and with base the color will show up better. The longevity is ok but like with every eyeshadow if you use a good primer under, it will stay on for much much longer. The texture is very smooth you and you won't experience any fallout.

Overall I do like both of them and probably will use them a lot during Autumn. Although I find them a bit pricey for the quality, at $11, but then again I have a MAC eyeshadow that has a bit worse pigmentation than those two. Oh and they are paraben free.

What do you think of those two eyeshadows? Have you tried the Sigma individual eyeshadows?

Sigma Beauty NEW Promotion and NEW Products

Sigma Creme de Couture collection
Hello ladies. Yesterday I received an exciting email about new products from Sigma Beauty. If you love bright and matte eyeshadows you will definitely enjoy the new Creme de Couture collection. Before I'll tell you more, who agrees with me that the packing is super cute? I just love the colors they used.

The collection has one eyeshadow palette which has 16 candy-colored matte shades and 3 really pretty blushes. Experience these dreamy, macaron-inspired flavours through the whimsical fantasy of Crème de Couture.

The eyeshadow palette costs $32 while the blushes $12 each. You also have the ability to buy the whole collection Creme de Couture for $55 ( value $68). The launch day of these beauties is September 9th.

Personally I'm more excited about the palette than the blushes just because I'm not a blush girl. What do you think of this collection?

Sigma Back to School Sale
Sigma also has a small back to school promotion and offers 15% off all eyeshadow bases and 4-brush synthetic precision kit. The Sigma Beauty eye shadow bases are made with a blendable, smooth formula to achieve a long-wearing and pigmented effect. The synthetic precision kit contains four face brushes developed to mimic your fingertips on the most sensitive and precise areas of the face.

Each eyeshadow base costs $13 and you also have the ability to choose the bases kits which have 3 bases and 1 brush in each and cost $36, the precision kit costs $54. So the discount code is B2S2013. Unfortunately you can't use this code and the 10% off one.

Sigma Beauty: 20% off Discount Code

Hello ladies. I wanted to let you know that Sigma decided to offer 20% off discount code for one week starting this Monday. As you know Sigma always offers a 10% discount code for each month but for the week July 22-29 you get 20% off. I think it's a good discount and I would definitely take advantage of it if I didn't have other things that I need to pay for.

If you have never tried sigma brushes before I would suggest you to buy one of their travel kits like Make Me Classy which with discount will cost you $52 plus shipping for 7 brushes. If you want to buy individual brushes my favorite face brushes are hands down F80 perfect for liquid or cream products and F40 for blush, bronzer and why not even powder. As for eye brushes I love the E35 and E45, maybe E55 too. They, also, recently launched new extended wear eyeliners in 9 colors which I want to try in near future.

So the discount code is SBAP20 and it is valid July 22-29. Don't forget that if you spend more than $30 ( excluding shipping cost) you will get a FREE gift, which for this month is a mini spa glove.

Will you buy anything? Let me know in the comments below!

NEW in Sigma Beauty

New products from Sigma Beauty
Today I thought I would do a small recap of all new products that Sigma Beauty has released since the begging of the year. For few of them I'm really excited, for few not so much; those products are the individual eyeshadows and brow products, eye shadow bases, brush cleaning glove and the limited edition Resort palette.
Let's start with the individual eyeshadows. Sigma Beauty released the eyeshadows in 30 different colors that  Bare,Dare,Flare and Paris palettes have, although they are planning on adding more colors in the future. Each eyeshadows contains 2.5g of product and the packaging is black with clear lid.

Cost: $11 each

Now the brow products. As you may know, not that long ago Sigma released a brow kit which included all the goodies you might need to create the perfect eyebrows. To be honest I think that kit is good for makeup artists not for personal use because it has many different brow powder shades. Well now, you can buy the products in that kit individually; brow powder duos, brow pencil, highlighter pencil and brow gel.
Sigma Beauty brown products
Cost: $14-Brow Powder duos, $12-brow pencil, highlighter pencil and brow gel.
Where to buy: Here

Next we have the eyeshadow bases. They come in 9 really pretty shades and each base has 5g of product. The packaging is a clear jar with black lid; personally I think that it is a little bit too big for the product but it is very pretty.

You can either buy them individually or in set of 3 which also include a concealer brush, the F70. They named each set the same as their palettes Bare,Dare and Flare. The Bare kit has the shades in Pose, Persuade and Sculpt. The Dare kit has the shades in Unveil, Strike and Dash. The Flare kit has the shades in Spy,Pursue and Provoke.
Cost: $13 each or $36 for the kit
Where to buy: Here and Here

The next product is the Spa Brush cleaning glove. It's a glove that has 6 different texture areas on to help you clean your face and eye brushes easier. It comes in 4 different colors: Pink,Turquoise,Purple and Black.

I was pretty excited when I first heard of this one but when I saw the price I was kinda disappointed. Personally if I had the extra money I would definitely buy it but for me, now, it is quite pricey.
Cost: $39
Where to buy: Here

Sigma Beauty Resort pallete
The newest product is the Resort palette which is limited edition. It has 8 beautiful eyeshadows in variety of colors, dual sided pencil, liquid highlighter and blush. Personally I'm super excited for this one and I LOVE the eyeshadow colors in this palette.
Sigma Beauty Resort pallete

I don't know about you guys but I find this palette great for spring/summer time because of the lovely colors and you can create many pretty looks. I really hope I will be able to buy it once my spending ban will end.
Cost: $42
Where to buy: Here

From all these products I really really want to try the Resort palette and the eyeshadow bases, hopefully I will be able to get my hands on them once my spending ban will end.
Don't forget to use the discount code SAVE2013 to get 10% off your entire purchase, plus a free gift if you spend more that $30.

Sigma Large Contour F40 Brush Review

Hi everyone, how are you? It's been quite lazy Sunday for me,I had many things to do but only managed to do half of them, lol. Today I have quickly review for you, review of Sigma Large Contour F40 Brush which is my current favorite blush brush.
I got it quite a while ago and been using it for blush ever since. I don't really use it for contouring unless I just want to warm up my face and that because the brush is quite fluffy, also because I really love using the e.l.f. blush brush for contouring.
Sigma Large Contour F40

Sigma Large Contour F40 Brush
The bristles are white and incredibly soft, I haven't experienced any kind of bristles fall out or discoloration. The handle is very well made, sturdy and it's not too heavy. I have used it only with powder products so I can't really tell you if it's good for creams too but for powder products it works great. Now, I know that not many people prefer this kind of shape of brush to apply blush but for me this works amazingly. And depending of how you apply your bronzer and final result you are looking for this might work for you for bronzer as well. Generally I would say this is great brush and a must have for everyone, specially since the Sigma F40 is a 2 in 1 brush, for blush and bronzer.
It retails for $16 and you can buy it from the Sigma website

Sigma Beauty Offer for Black Friday

So if you dont know this friday, November 23rd, is the Black Friday. What's Black Friday you may ask? Well during that day many, if not all, stores in US offer huge discount on their products. The good thing for us who don't live in US is that many online stores have discounts and other offers during that day too so you can buy products for much cheaper than usually.
Sigma Beauty is one of the online store that have a special offer from that day. Like last year, they have free shipping for not one but TWO days starting at midnight (12AM Central Standard Time) on Thursday, November 22 and end at midnight (12AM Central Standard Time) on Friday, November 23. It's great that it's two days deal because, i think, last year the site was down for sometime so now you have more time to shop and you won't miss this deal.

If you ask me this is a great deal because shipping prices can be quite high for some countries. But keep in mind that you can't use the Free shipping code and the 10% off code because you can only use one code at a time. Though that's not a problem because, like I said, the shipping cost can be quite high and having free shipping will make big difference in the final price. Note that the FREE shipping is for both domestic and First Class International shipping.

I wish I could take advantage of this offer to buy some products that I really want but I have other bills that I need to pay so no money for brushes :( So if you were planning on buying something from Sigma Beauty this is the perfect time to do so.

Write down these two dates and happy shopping.

Sigma F45 Buffer Brush Review

Hi everyone, how was your weekend? Sadly it's Monday tomorrow and this means I start my Uni classes again :(. Anyways, today I will review the Sigma F45 Buffer brush. Before I got this brush I never used a powder brush to set my foundation or to apply mineral or powder foundation. The reason is because I preferred the result when I was using a puff instead of a brush but everything changed after this brush.

I always wanted to try a kabuki brush because for some reason I thought it will be better than any powder brushes and I think I was right!  Then again I haven't tried every powder brush that exists so maybe some preform better than this brush. Also it all comes to personal preference and the powders you use because not everyone wants the same result, right? And some powders apply heavier than others and in this case a kabuki brush might pick up too much product.

Sigma F45 Buffer Brush

Sigma F45 Buffer Brush

Sigma F45 Buffer Brush

As you can see from the photos it is very dense brush. After washing it few times it shed a little bit,it lost about 2 or 3 hairs but that's nothing compared to how many hairs this brush has. The Sigma F45 is very soft brush but not the softest I have tried.
I have used it for powder and blush application and works wonders. You know, sometimes I don't want to put liquid or cream foundation on my face, I just want something that will even out the skin tone a bit. So for that I use this brush and powder foundation. This brush is great for buffing products. To be honest  I think I might even use this brush for bronzer on days when I don't want very define contouring.
Overall I would totally suggest you to pick it up in the future if you like apply powder with brush. It is a bit pricey but still it is a lot cheaper that over brands' kabuki brushes.

You can buy it here for $19
Do you own this or any other kabuki brushes? Do you like using kabuki brushes?

Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki review

The Sigma F80 brush is one of my latest purchases from Sigma. When I finally decided to order from Sigma I just couldn't not buy this brush as so many people been raving about this brush. This is one of the brushes from their Sigmax collection. When comes to foundation I pretty much always wear liquid foundation and before I buy this brush I was using stipple brush from this set.

I must say that people who have been raving about this brush are right, I'm in love with the F80. If you ask me this brush is perfect for cream and liquid foundations.

The total brush length is around 15,5cm (6.1 in) and the handle length is around 8cm (3.1 in). The brush feels a bit heavier than other brushes but this is indication that it is well made.

The bristles are synthetic which is great from cream/liquid products. Also they are incredibly soft, not scratchy at all and very dense. When I use this brush the buffing process is so easy and quick and gives flawless finish to my skin.

To be honest this brush is multipurpose. I have used for foundation application like I said. Also I've used from powder blush and bronzer application and it works like charm. Generally it's an amazing brush for buffing.

After the first wash, while I was using it for foundation application, it lost 2-3 bristles but honestly that's almost nothing and I wouldn't consider this as a problem.

I know some people have hard times cleaning this after liquid/cream products but my cleaned pretty easily. Well if you don't clean your brush for 5 days after using liquid/cream products don't expect it to be easily cleaned, right?

Overall I'm in love with this brush... In my opinion this is a must have for people that use liquid products and not only. From now on this is one of my favorite brushes.

You can buy it from $16 from Sigma website.

Sigma Cleansing and Polishing Tool Review

Several months ago I entered a giveaway on handamadereviews for the Sigma Cleansing & Polishing Tool . Surprise, surprise I won that giveaway (that was the first time I ever won a giveaway). As you can understand when I recieved it I was super excited to try it and I did. As a matter of fact I've been using this for a long time, probably close to a year now. Now I finally decided to review it,eventhough probably many of you might have already  tried it.

This tool works with two AA batteries and it's water resistant but not waterproof so keep that in mind.
It comes with 3 brush heads, soft, medium and firm:
Soft (pink): good for everyday fecial cleansing
Medium (pink & white) : good for everyday body exfoliation
Firm (white) : good for deeper body exfoliation
Here's a closer look to the brush heads

I use this tool, probably, around 2-3 times a week and that's only because I'm a bit lazy :P. I have used both soft and medium on my face but bare in mind that my skin isn't very sensitive. The firm one I only use it on
my body... Now on the site, I see that they changed the firm head but I don't know if it is any different from mine over than coloring.
They also came up with 3 extra heads, spa solution kit, that you can buy for this cleansing and polishing tool. Of course in case you need a replacment for any of the 3 original heads, they have replacements for each head.
Usually I use this with some kind of cleanser but if I feel like my skin really need a good exfoliation I will use some kind of exfoliator with this tool but this might be too harsh for someone with sensitive skin.( soon i'll post a home remedy that i usually use to exfoliate my face and body) .
It has 2 speeds though I would say it would be better if it had 3 with 1 even slower speed for people with sensitive skin. For me the 1st speed works great for my face and the 2nd for my body.
This tool almost has never broke me out, only few times and that's because I used the medium head on high speed on my face so basically it was my fault.
One drawback is that pretty much whenever I use it splashing will occur so I usually use in shower or over the bath  but because it isn't waterproof I have to make sure my hand isn't too wet.
Something that would be nice is if Sigma would sell it separately so you could buy with the heads and the amount you want since some might be only interesting in one head.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a tool that will help you with your daily cleansing routine then this is definitely a tool that you should try. Specially with the extra 3 heads they have it's like your own mini spa at home.
I believe this won't irritate your skin if you use it correctly. Generally it's a good cleansing tool for you to use if you are on a budget and/or don't want to spend more that $40
This retails for $39.00
The exta spa solution kit for $29,00
Both together for $59.00
You can buy it from Sigma

Also if you are planning to buy anything from Sigma don't forget the discount coupon( look at the top left side of the page) that gives you 10% plus a mini eyeshadow palette.

Have you tried this?Do you like it? What cleansing tool do you use?
( This is my honest opinion)
