August Favorites 2012

Ok,ok I know I'm kinda late with my August favorites but better now than never right? So I'm not sure if I will be doing favorites posts every single month simply because I don't buy new things every month plus I tend to stick with my old favs so...You can read my July Favorites here. Here are my August favorites:
August Favorites including Lancome,MUA,Bioten and Sigma

Bioten cleansing wipes: I use those wipes to remove my makeup and they do great job. They aren't the softest but they are well moisturized and I like it.
Summerline Hydrating cream with insect repellent effect: Basically during this summer in Greece it was crazy with mosquitoes so I decided to try one of those protective creams and this one worked for me,plus it is based on different plants not chemicals :)
MUA Undressed palette: Well not much to say here I just love this palette and I've using a lot. You can read the review for it here.
MUA lip boom in Doing Good: I really really love the lipstick part of it and I have recieved many compliments when I'm wearing it. The lipgloss though isn't my favorite. Read the review here.
Revlon Age Defying concealer: I looove this one. I have been using a lot during summer and less in winter because the color is slightly dark for me in winter. It has good coverage and staying power. The only downside is that I think it has been discontinued :(
e.l.f. wet gloss lash and brow clear mascara:  This is simple clear mascara that helps me with keeping my eyebrows in place. I have been using it for almost a year now. You can read the review here
Lancome hypnose drama mascara: This is great mascara and I like it but it's a bit expensive. You can read the review here.
e.l.f. Complexion brush: This brush is so so soft. I love using it for powder and blush. I think if don't own this brush you should,it's great value!!
Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki brush: I have said it in the past but I'll say it again: This is my favorite brush for foundation! You can read the review here.
Sigma E35 and E45: Ever since I got those brushes I've been using them all the time. You can read the review here.

What items you have been using the past month?

Couple days ago I recieved my order from MUA which inculded the Undressed palette. So before I did review for it I obviously have to try it. I already used it twice. At first I was thinking of making FOTD but there was nothing special about the rest of my face so I opted for EOTD.

You could easily wear it at day and night, maybe for night look you could add some eyeliner.

Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara Photos,Review,Swatches

For quite a while I wanted to try a Lancome Hypnose mascara. So when the Sephora had 25% off  of selected brands I decided to give it a try. From the different Hypnose mascaras that Lancome has I chose Lancome Hypnose Drama.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara Photos,Review,Swatche

You can't imagine how excited I was to try it since I normally choose drugstore brands for mascaras.I must say that I really like the packaging of the mascara and of the box.Let's have a look at the wand
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara Wand

It's a normal size wand with S-shaped which supposedly gonna help you to better cover your lashes.
What Lancome says about this mascara:
"Get instant lash drama in a single coat with this ultra volume-boosting mascara that’ll take lashes from so-so to show-stopping. The full contact brush, with its S-shaped curve, grasps and loads lashes for a fanned out, full body fringe. Lancôme’s luxe Texturizing Complex features highly saturated waxes and intense black pigments for maximum lash volume. The triple coating system delivers a fluid and creamy application to quickly and easily build big, battable lashes that won’t clump or flake."
What I think about this mascara:
First let's see the before and after
 *one coat and curled*
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara Results

The formula of Hypnose Drama is quite creamy. It does add some volume and length but you really have to be careful when you apply it. What I mean? When you take out the mascara wand you end up with a lot of product on the wand so if you won't remove some, in the end you will have clumpy lashes and that's not pretty unless you like this kind of look. This is my biggest complain, I need to take that extra step to have a nice look.
Also I was expecting for the mascara to give a bit more volume but I must say that I'm not disappointed with the Hypnose Drama and I quite like it.
What I notice is that if you spend some more time while applying it you can achieve really pretty lashes.
Now about it's lasting power. If you won't curl your lashes after the application and if you won't apply a ton of product it will last for quite a while. Whereas if you curl your lashes after the application you will see some fall out after around 3 hours...This is the not waterproof version so you won't have a hard time to remove it.
Overall rating: 4/5
Whould I buy it again?: I like it but I don't see myself spending that much on mascara, specially since I'm on budget now.
Have you tried it? Do you like it? What high end mascara do you like?

Mini Sephora haul

Yesterday I went for a walk with my mom to get some fresh air.We went to Sephora and couple other stores....So as I walked through the door of Sephora I looked on the right side and what I saw?OPI nail polishes on sale from 13.90 euros down to 8.90 euros...
Just to let my Greek readers know Sephora and Hondos Center have 25% off on beauty products so go and check them out,you can find some pretty good deals. What I noticed is that Sephora does slighty better offers than Hondos Center does...
Unfortunately the shades that were on sale are from old collections, the newest ones were at 13.90...I bought the Girls Love Gold gift bag, which had a small make up bag and 2 OPI nail polishes in Rising Star and Bring on the Bling. Also I bought the Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara and got the sample of Lancome's Teint Idole Ultra 24H foundation

Normally I would pay 30 euros for the OPI set and 33.10 euros for the Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara but instead I paid for both of them 33.10 euros, great deal right?
I want to try that Lancome's 24H foundation although I highly doubt I would buy that one over the MUFE(Make up for ever) HD since Lancome's cost 43euros while MUFE's 33,we'll see.
In my later posts I will post the review for the Hypnose and swatches of OPI nail polishes :),so keep checking back or even better follow the blog so you will be notified.

NOTE to Greek Girls:Go and Check out your local Sephora cuz I think they might have that offer for the OPI nail polishes as well as they try to sell all the shades from previous collections :)
