EOTD: Neutral Purple and Tutorial

Hello everyone, any exciting plans for the weekend? Today I wanted to do an eotd post because I haven't done one in a while. I didn't have time to take pictures of the whole face but to be honest I didn't do something special, some powder foundation, bronzer and sheer lip gloss. For the eyes I wanted something neutral but with purple touch so here the final result:
Neutral Purple Eye Makeup
This a very simple everyday eye makeup, nothing dramatic. I didn't want very vivid purple on the lid so I toned it down.
Products used:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk
- The 1st,2nd,3rd and 10th eyeshadows from the first row and the 5th from the second row from NYX Nude on Nude palette
- Urban Decay AC/DC eyeshadow
- e.l.f. liquid eyeliner
- Benefit bad girl mascara

How to:
- First apply the primer and the eyeshadow base.
- Next with a fluffy brush like Sigma E35 add an eyeshadow close to your skin tone(3rd from Nude on Nude) in the crease and blend it well.
- Apply the purple eyeshadow( UD AC/DC) all over the lid with an eyeshadow brush like Sigma E55.
- With a dome shape brush like Sigma E45 add some dark brown eyeshadow (5th from Nude on Nude) in the outer corner and bring it slightly into the crease.
- Use a matte beige eyeshadow ( 1st from Nude on Nude) to highlight under the brow and for inner corner use a shimmery beige eyeshadow( 2nd from Nude on Nude).
- Because the purple was a bit too bright I used the matte beige with a fluffy brush and kinda dust it over the purple lightly.
- Line half the the lash line with liquid eyeliner and wing it out. For the other half use a push brush like MAC 212 and a black eyeshadow.
- Apply few coats of mascara and you're done
- Enjoy :D

What do you think of the eye makeup? Let me know in the comments below :)

Urban Decay Primer Potion VS E.L.F. Eyelid Primer

Good afternoon everyone :) Recently I got the Urban Decay primer potion and I wanted to compare it with the eyeshadow primer I'm currently using, e.l.f. eyelid primer. In the past I compared the e.l.f. eyelid primer with the e.l.f. mineral eyeshadow primer (you can read it here) so basically if I will compare the UDPP with the 2 primers from e.l.f (if you will read that review too).

The Urban Decay, as you might know, changed the packaging for the primer potion, now it comes in a squeeze tube which is much much better than before because, from what I've seen, previously you had to depot it to get the whole amount of primer. The new packing has 0.85 fl oz and you pay around $20,quite expensive I would say. Surprisingly for me this one does contain quite few parabens, you can see the whole list of ingredients here.
The e.l.f. eyelid primer comes in hard plastic tube and it contains 0.17 fl oz for $1. This is 5 times smaller than Urban Decay but even for the same amount you would pay just $5. The good thing is that the e.l.f. eyelid primer doesn't contain any parabens, you can read the ingredients here.
So far +2 for e.l.f. eyelid primer: cheaper, parabens free.

Urban Decay Primer Potion VS E.L.F. Eyelid Primer
Urban Decay primer potion is much thicker than e.l.f. eyelid primer. The UDPP is cold skin tone color while the e.l.f. one is warm skin tone color. They both apply easily and blend in very well. The e.l.f. eyelid primer leaves behind kinda off white color which, to be honest, isn't very visible on the lid. From the swatches on the back of my hand you can see the UDPP goes smoothly and doesn't set in the skin lines while the e.l.f. one does but that doesn't really matter because you use the primer under the eyeshadows. Now let's move on the most important part, how they help the staying power and vibrancy of the eyeshadows.

Urban Decay Primer Potion VS E.L.F. Eyelid Primer
For the pictures I use exactly the same products on both eyes and I did only use the primers under the eyeshadows. As for eyeshadow payoff both Urban Decay primer potion and e.l.f. eyelid primer did exactly the same job. On the picture there is a slight difference but that's because of the camera, in real life you can't tell which one is which.
As for staying power, the UDPP did a slightly better job than e.l.f eyelid primer but the difference is only visible with pictures, in real life you can't tell. To take those pictures I wore the eye makeup for 7 or 8 hours which is the average amount of time that someone would wear makeup, I know that there are some people who wear makeup for way longer. So for staying power the UDPP did slightly better job.

Overall I would say that I like both of them but if I take under the consideration the price and the fact that UDPP has parabens I prefer my e.l.f. eyelid primer. If I would compare UDPP to e.l.f. mineral eyeshadow primer they probably would perform the same in everything since the mineral eyeshadow primer is slightly better than eyelid primer.

What do you think of this review? Which eyeshadow primer you use? Let me know in the comments below :)

I Won a Contest: Haul

Hello everyone. As you can see I took a small break from blogging but now I'm back. Also as you know I'm taking part in the Halloween nail art challenge and 2 days ago I should have posted a nail art and I didn't, the reason is simple because the theme was corn candy and I couldn't think any unique design so I thought it would be boring for you to see the typical corn candy design that already exists on the internet.
The point of this post is to share with you my happiness after receiving today's mail. Several days ago I won a contest by frootibeauty, make sure to check out her blog, she does some amazing makeup looks. For that contest I had to create a makeup look and you can see it here. I was super happy when I saw that I won :D, here's a picture of my prize:
Makeup Haul feat Urban Decay, Illamasqua and Clinique
It has been very long time since I ever won anything so I was completely excited to receive this package. I was even more happy because now I have the chance to try brands like Urban Decay,Illamasqua, Benefit and Clinique. Of course as you can understand I will review every product and definitely will have some makeup looks using those products :)

Do you own any of these products? What do you want me to review first?
