Maybelline Color Tattoo in Gold Rush, Silver Strike Review

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Gold Rush and Silver Strike
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Gold Rush and Silver Strike
Silver Strike and Gold Rush are part of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal collection. I have reviewed the Barely Branded,Inked in Pink and Electric Blue; you can read the reviews here and here if you wish.

First let me tell you about the packaging. The jars are made from glass and have  twisted, plastic lids. The glass is clear so you can easily see the true color of each eyeshadow; which is something I really like! They contain 4g (.14 oz) of product each and they will probably last you very long time as long as you close the lid very well so they won't dry out because they are cream products.

Silver Strike is true silver color with metallic finish. It is creamy, applies rather smoothly and goes on pretty opaque. One thing you might not like is the fact that when you gonna blend it you most probably will end with nothing on but silver shimmer; this means that the blending is very easy. The lasting power is very good but I think a little bit of eyeshadow primer will help the longevity and application

Gold Rush is a very yellow toned gold eyeshadow with metallic finish. I have to say that this is my least favorite of all 5 from the Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal collection. The shade itself is very pretty but it doesn't apply evenly at all. When you apply it looks kinda patchy and "creased"; personally I find it very hard to get anything close to smooth application. It looks kinda flaky and when I applied once, two small pieces got in my eye and stuck on my eye contact and I barely managed to clean it after leaving it for 24 hours in the contacts solution.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded, Inked in Pink Review

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded, Inked in Pink
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded and Inked in Pink
Hey everyone. I'm pretty sure that majority of you have heard and have tried the Maybelline Color Tattoos. I've been wanting to try them for really long time but somehow I never got around buying any. I was very lucky to win the limited edition Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal collection which I'm not sure if it will ever be available in Greece. The Metal collection has 5 shades : Barely Branded, Inked in Pink, Electric Blue, Gold Rush and Silver Strike; in this post I will review the first 2 color tattoos.

First let me tell you about the packaging. The jar is made from glass and has a twisted, plastic lid. The glass is clear so you can easily see the true color of each eyeshadow; which is something I really love! It contains 4g (.14 oz) of product and it will probably last you very long time as long as you close the lid very well so it won't dry out because it's a cream product.

Barely Branded is a beige/champagne kinda color. Inked in Pink a pretty pink/mauve color. Both have metallic finish,as they should have since they are in the metal collection haha. The eyeshadows are creamy, soft and apply quite easily. The lasting power is pretty good but I think applying an eyeshadow primer before will help both application and longevity. As for pigmentation, they are quite pigmented but you may need to use 2 layers depending on how you are apply them. Once you apply them, they dry pretty fast but you definitively have time for blending and they blend very easily.

Overall I really like those 2 Maybelline Color Tattoos and they are a pretty combo for an easy everyday eye makeup look. Also during this week I will have a review for the other 3 color tattoos from the Metal collection so make sure to come back :)
