I can't believe that May is already here. This means that only 1 month left till the Summer officially begins and that in proximately 2 months I'm going to be 22 years old (I'm getting old, lol just kidding). This also means that it's time for my April beauty favorites, I have some new and some old products to show you.
Skincare wise I only want to mention one product, the L'Oreal Skin Perfection Serum. As you might be able to tell from the first picture, I'm more than half way through it. I really like using it as my day moisturizer or before I apply my makeup because it provides the right amount of moisture to my combination skin. It also has some very, very fine particles which give a slight dewiness to my face without looking too dewy or oily.
For almost the past two months I've been using the Garnier Miraculous Oil Brushing Express which is a new hair oil that Garnier recently launched. It supposes to protect your hair from heat and also help you to decrease the time you need to blow dry your hair. Ever since I got it I've been using every single time I blow dry my hair and I noticed that I do actually need less time to do so. A more detailed review will be up on my blog this week.
Dove Go Fresh deodorant is an old favorite of mine. Before this scent, which is lemon and lemongrass, I had the pomegranate which I like more than the lemon one but still the scent is pleasant and fresh. The main reason why I like this so much it's because it neutralize any odor and it lasts for many, many hours. It says that it provides 48 hour protection, which could be true but if you sweat a lot you just have to shower every day, at least in my opinion. This deodorant is labeled as antiperspirant but I haven't seen a big difference when I use it. That's something that I actually like because using deodorants that prevent you from sweating in that area is not good for your health, from what I've read at least.
A new favorite of mine is the Maybelline the Colossal Go Extreme Volume mascara. It's a new release and addition to the Colossal family from Maybelline. It does everything I want from mascara; it adds volume, length and it actually manages to hold the curl decently. More detailed review here.
Another old favorite is the Maybelline Fit me concealer in #15, which is the lightest color in this line. I've been in love with it from the first try and this is my second tube. It has medium coverage and it gives nice dewy finish which is particularly flattering for under eye area. It has a good longevity but you have to set it with a tiny amount of powder because otherwise is has the tendency to set in the fine lines. Even if you don't set it, it's super easy to correct and smooth out the concealer just with your finger but in case you set it you don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day.
Surprisingly enough I have 3 lip products in my favorites; it's surprise because I'm not a lipstick girl but lately I think I'm becoming one hehe. First, let me talk about a moisturizing product. Maybelline Baby Lips in Hydrate became my favorite and go to lip balm in the past month or so. Although at the beginning I like the Intense Care more, this won me over really quickly and it provides enough moisture to my lips.
The two lipsticks I have here are completely different color wise, one is neutral and one super bright. I'll start with the more wearable one, Essence lipstick in Barely There. It's from their Long Lasting line and I've reviewed it here. It's a lovely brownish nude color which some people might not like but I love it. It goes with every makeup I do and it definitely a great daytime color for me. Also it has good longevity for only 3,5 euros that it costs and it's doesn't dry out my lips.
On the opposite color side I have the Maybelline Super Stay 14 hour lipstick in Infinitely Fuchsia. As the name suggests it's a bright fuchsia color which I could never imagine myself wearing. Just to give you an idea of much I've fallen in love with this lipstick let me tell you that I wore it several times during not only night time but also day time. Now, the 14 hours is definitely an overstatement but it will easily stay on for approximately 7 hours unless you are eating something all the time. The finish is semi matte and it doesn't dry out my lips.
Phew that's it. My favorites posts always end up being so long, I hope that's ok. Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these product and your opinions about them. Till the next time, xoxo
