Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Volume Mascara

Today I wanted to talk to you about the Maybelline's new mascara called The Colossal Go Extreme Volume. I've had this mascara for quite a while now and it become my current favorite mascara, I even stopped using the Maybelline Rocket ( which I really liked) because I love the effect that this gives to my lashes.

To be honest for some reason I didn't like that much the original Colossal mascara so I haven't purchased any other from Colossal line. Because of that I was a bit skeptical when I got this and when first tried it I wasn't impressed. But again all mascaras don't preform well when you first open them so I kept using it for several days and guess what? Now I love it and it's definitely in my top 5 mascaras.

The shape of the wand is my favorite for mascara, it's tapered and not too thick nor too thin. I can easily get to all my lashes without smudging. As you can see in the photo above it has double pump wand, which if I remember well has product in( at least that's what Maybelline rep told us on the presentation for this mascara ) and the whole idea behind is basically to get more product on your lashes with just one coat. My only complain is that sometimes a bit too much of product comes out and I need to wipe it on the edge of the tube.

The effect that it gives to lashed is again my favorite; lots of volume, some length and my top favorite that it actually holds the curl. My lashes are super straight (as you can see from the picture above) and very stubborn as they just don't want to stay curled no matter what. With this mascara I found a little trick which gives a nice curl (see the last eye shot) which stays until I remove my makeup. Want to know the trick? Well after the first coat is dried I apply the second one and few seconds later I curl my lashes with my finger, hold it for a bit and voila I get the perfect curl. Honestly this is the first non waterproof mascara with which I can achieve such effect and I just can't describe how happy I am about that. I know it might seem stupid to be happy other that but I love thick, curled lashes!

So if after all the ramble you still wonder whether I would recommend this or not, the answer is YES. Like I said before,  The Colossal Go Extreme Volume definitely made it in my top 5 mascaras that I have tried so far. Now, I'm not sure if this mascara is available everywhere in the world but if it isn't it will be soon.  Have you tried this mascara? Which is your current favorite mascara?
