Nails Inc Concrete in Stonehenge |
Hey there dolls. It's been ages since I've done nail polish swatches on my blog so here we go. I've always been interesting in effect nail polishes whether that is flakies, crackle or now concrete. Nails Inc Concrete is one of Nails Inc latest releases. The one I will review today is in Stonehenge, which is a really beautiful rich blue color.
It definitely looks like concrete when applied, while in the bottle it looks smooth just like a simple nail polish. Some people might not like the kinda bumpy feeling that this nail polish has but to me it looks very interesting and unique as I haven't seen any similar nail polishes.
The Nails Inc Concrete has tiny tiny bits of grit, which become more visible as the nail polish dries. Speaking of drying, this is a fast dry nail polish!!!
To get the best result you need to apply 2 coats but to be honest you can easily get away with one if you won't rush while applying it. The finish of the polish is something between matte and dewy which, I think, makes the effect to stand out even more.
I've read some reviews saying that if you apply top coat you will loose the effect. In my case this is not true, I applied a thin layer of top coat on 1 hand. Comparing the 2 hands, the one with top coat felt a tiny bit smoother but you could still see the effect. To be honest though, I wouldn't apply top coat on the entire nail but only at the very edge to help prevent chipping.
I had the nail polish on for about 5 days and I didn't experience any chipping unlike some other girls that I read their reviews. Yes it did kinda wear off at the very edge of nail but that's something usual with nail polishes.
Now, the removal is a little bit time consuming but if you press and leave the cotton pad with nail polish remover over the nail for about 1 minute, the nail polish will come off way easier!
This Nails Inc Concrete nail polish comes in another 3 colors: nude, red and yellow and it retails for £12. Soon you will be able to buy it from Lookfanastic.

Disclaimer: This is a PR sample but I'm 100% honest in my review!
This looks so strange! I love the colour but I don't think I would be able to put up with the graininess! xx
ReplyDeleteIt's not as grainy as it might look,it's just not as smooth as normal nail nail polishes :)
DeleteLooks cool,I would love to try it:)Just curious if it is hard to remove like glitters?
ReplyDeleteNot at all, it's like I said a bit time consuming compared to removal of normal nail polish but definitely easier than glitters :)
DeleteThis looks so good! Not sure I'd be able to part with £12 for it though :( x
ReplyDeleteYeah, it is kinda pricey :/
DeleteHuh...I haven't heard of this at all...but I think it looks pretty cool! Have you taken it off yet? I know you said taking it off was kind of hard...wondering if using foil (like with glitter polish) would have been the way to go. I'm definitely going to keep my eyes peeled next time I'm at Sephora to try this out!
ReplyDeleteYeah I took it off couple days ago, no need for foil. Just leave the cotton pad on top of the nail for a minute and it will start coming off :)
DeleteI can't decide if I like these or not :/ but I have the urge to buy them just to try :/ lol xx
ReplyDeleteHaha I think you might like it :)
