Hello my lovely readers. Hope you all had a great weekend. Today's post will be a review of the MUA lip boom. MUA collaborated with Alexandra Bruke to create those lip booms. There are in total 8 shades and I will review the Doin Good lip boom. You get lipstick and lip gloss. What MUA says about them:
"Lipstick and highlighting gloss that creates fuller curvaceous lips for a dramatic illusion of volume. There are 4 amazing ways to transform your lips and give them some Boom!Lets see some more pictures of the MUA lip boom in Doin' Good:
1. Lipstick alone for a matte look.
2. Lipstick with highlighter applied just to the centre of your lips to create a full volume illusion.
3. Lipstick with highlighter all over for a super-glossy look.
4. Highlighter alone for a sheer pearl finish."

The packaging is pretty cool. You have the middle part which on one end has the lip gloss brush and other it's empty and it is the lipstick cap. And you have the lipstick and the little bottle with the lip gloss.
The lipstick part isn't completely matte, it has a slight sheen in it. I love the color, on swatches it looks rather red but on lips it's a nice reddish pink that can easily be worn during day. You can see it on my lips here. The lipstick is very pigmented and has quite good lasting power. It applies very easily but it might be slightly drying but to be honest you pretty much can't tell it unless you pay close attention to how your lips feel.
Now the lip gloss. As you can seen it has some tint in it. The glitter is rather chunky and that's something I don't like. But it doesn't feel sticky so that a plus. It looks nice over the lipstick but I prefer to wear the lipstick alone because the lip gloss is too chunky for my liking but also because I'm not that much into lip glosses. Though some of you might like it. What I love about the lip gloss is it's smell, it smells amazing, the smell reminds me butter.
Overall I would say that I do like this product. I will be definitely using the lipstick part a lot and maybe sometimes with the lip gloss. The lipstick alone has good staying power but with lip gloss on top not that much which is, I think, common when you wear both lipstick and lip gloss. Also I want to try some of the other shades in future. For £3 I thinks this is worth trying.
You can buy it for £3 from MUA site
Ahh those shades are gorgeous. I need to try the MUA range! xoxo
